Overview​

SustainED Leaders is an approved provider for LASO Cycle 4 LIFT (Leadership & Instructional Foundations for Texas) and School Improvement Curriculum & Instructional Support Grant (SI CISG). 

We have partnered with districts since LASO Cycle 1 to adopt, launch, and sustain the implementation of High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) while building the leadership and systems capacity needed to accelerate student success.

  • STAAR 2025 Impact: 100% of partner campuses in 2024-2025 increased their accountability rating, with an average gain of nearly 20 points across the entire cohort of schools, including several schools scoring in the top 1% for academic growth in the state.

Supporting Schools to Implement HQIM

SustainED Leaders works side-by-side with campus leadership teams and their teachers to facilitate the implementation of HQIM. Our approach involves working with campuses to gain a comprehensive understanding of the campus environment and, allowing us to create tailored solutions that ensure the successful implementation of HQIM.

Coaching Teachers

We coach and develop teachers to implement high-quality instructional materials in a way that reaches all learners. All coaching is grounded in the Science of Learning to equip teachers to make the highest-leverage instructional decisions. Teachers are also coached in classroom management practices and research-based instructional strategies to engage all learners.  â€‹

Leading PLC Meetings

We coach leaders to lead impactful PLCs that support the campus-wide implementation of HQIM. Through the PLC process, leaders facilitate teacher reflection and analysis on the quality and fidelity of implementation. We work side-by-side with teams to collect and analyze data to make strategic refinements that continually improve instruction.

Analyzing Student Work
& Mastery Data

We coach and develop teachers to analyze student work and adjust instruction to bring all students to mastery. Teachers are equipped to reflect on their instructional practices and collaborate in teams to continually improve first instruction.​​

Strategic Planning for HQIM Adoption

In each district partnership, our team leads the collaborative design process of creating a math and/or literacy framework in your district. The collaborative design and implementation plan are completely customized in side-by-side planning to each district's needs and context.

Our team leads all aspects of project management from the beginning to the end of the framework development process to ensure that you remain on track to meet all TEA deadlines. We build a deep understanding of your district so that we can tailor our support and partnership to match your context and needs. â€‹â€‹

Diagnostic and Current State Analysis

We analyze multiple data points and conduct campus walkthroughs to understand the current state of curriculum and instruction throughout the district. We apply this context when designing and facilitating professional learning and collaborative design sessions for the framework development committee. â€‹

Lead Strategic Planning with Stakeholders

We partner with the leadership team and committee in strategic planning to guide them through the curriculum evaluation process. In partnership, we ensure that the HQIM adoption process meets the needs and goals of the district.

Facilitate RBIS Training

We facilitate shared professional learning for the leadership team and committee on the science of learning and research-based instructional strategies. We create opportunities for the committee to synthesize learnings from the professional development and begin to think about potential implications for the framework.

Our team leads collaborative design sessions with the committee to develop instructional frameworks grounded in research-based instructional strategies. We focus on aligning these frameworks with High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) to ensure consistency and effectiveness district-wide.​​

Design & Develop Instructional Vision 

We lead the framework creation process with frequent feedback and customization to fit the needs of your district. We solicit and incorporate feedback from the committee and other identified stakeholders when drafting the vision and key components of the framework. â€‹â€‹

Perform Gap Analysis
and Create Implementation Plan

We ensure you have a comprehensive framework implementation plan and provide supplemental training and professional development as needed. We evaluate potential tools, resources, training, and high-quality instructional materials to enhance instruction and actualize the framework components. We also share recommendations for communicating changes to stakeholders to build investment.
