The Instructional Coordinator will support district coaching teams, including Instructional Managers (IM) and Leadership Development Directors (LDD), with the adoption and implementation of HQIM at partner school districts and the coaching and development of leaders. The Instructional Coordinator will support the design and delivery of professional learning as well as in the creation of student, teacher, and leader-facing tools and resources To achieve this impact, the Instructional Coordinator will:
Content Design & Instructional Enablement (School Year)
Play a key role in district coaching teams, including supporting IMs and LDDs with in-person coaching visits with teachers and campus leaders
Design and produce high-quality professional learning materials, including slide decks, facilitator guides, and participant handouts, ensuring alignment with adult learning principles.
Develop trusting relationships with IMs and LDDs
Create and curate supplemental HQIM resources (unit internalization guides, exemplar student responses, additional TEKS-aligned practice)
Aggregate and analyze student work samples and assessment data across multiple campuses to identify instructional trends and gaps for leadership team
Build and maintain the organization’s data tracking systems (spreadsheets/dashboards) to ensure accurate monitoring of teacher and leader proficiency and growth
Maintain the digital resource library, ensuring all versions of training materials and curriculum tools are organized, up-to-date, and accessible to the team
Support IMs and LDDs with the implementation of research-based curriculum
Partner with the MDs, LDDs, and IMs and other team members to plan and execute training, coaching, and other development activities for education leaders
Provide in-person and remote support to the coaching team, including LDDs and IMs, to empower and enhance the quality of instruction
Develop & Refine Coaching and Training Tools (Summer, On-Going as needed)
Internalize the SustainED Leaders’ coaching model and leadership development programs
Develop online and physical coaching tools in partnership with LDDs and IMs
Design in-person and/or virtual training materials
Create and refine coaching tools and frameworks that will support teachers to internalize and implement research-based curriculum
Build coaching tools that leaders can use to support the implementation and management of cultural, data, and instructional systems
Create and/or refine weekly coaching agendas and coaching plans for ongoing coaching
Strategic Partner (On-Going)
Partner with SustainED Leaders’ team to design and develop programming
Collaborate with SustainED Leaders’ team to determine highest leverage strategic decisions for programming
Evaluate Program
Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of coaching and development
Refine and redesign coaching and training based on data to increase effectiveness

Position Requirements
Position Qualifications
The Instructional Coordinator will have a minimum of two years of teaching experience and have a track record of coaching and developing teachers to accelerate learning and growth for all students. The Instructional Coordinator will be an experienced educator who is dedicated to the mission of developing the next generation of outstanding school teachers and leaders.
Additional Qualifications
Deep understanding and knowledge of high-quality instructional materials (i.e. Bluebonnet Learning, Eureka, Amplify, Carnegie, etc.) and experience implementing HQIM in districts and schools
A demonstrated record of improving student outcomes as a teacher and/or leader
A results orientation and commitment to holding self and others accountable for maximizing learning and growth for all students
The ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as inter- and intra-personal skills
Demonstrated academic achievement as a teacher
Significant experience using data to achieve academic results
Deeply held belief that all children can learn and achieve at high levels regardless of race, gender, or socio-economic background
Desire to play a major role in the growth and evolution of a transformative startup organization
Requirements
Graduate degree in education (preferred)
A minimum of two years teaching experience
Experience supporting campus needs as a teacher-leader (leading professional development, designated lead-teacher, team lead, department lead))
Demonstrated track record of driving strong student outcomes
Salary & Benefits
The salary range for this position is: $65,000 - $85,000. SustainED Leaders offers benefits to employees, including: medical, vision, and dental insurance with monthly employer contribution, as well as a SIMPLE IRA with 3% employer match.

Work Days: Annual
Work Hours: Primarily 8 am - 5 pm (hours may vary based on travel or organization needs)
